Jenny Durkan on her campaign for Seattle mayor

Jenny Durkan is one of the candidates running to become the next mayor of Seattle.  She out-polled 20 other candidates at the ballot box in the 2017 August primary taking 27.9% to second-place Cary Moon’s 17.6%.

Our conversation with Jenny was recorded the Wednesday before Labor Day, shortly after she released her plan to provide two years of funding of community college to any graduate of Seattle public schools.

We discuss that policy and others, as well as some of her underlying political philosophy about governing one of America’s fastest growing cities.
