There will be a new Chief of Staff at the helm of the House Democratic Caucus. Replacing former Chief of Staff Orlando Cano will be Alex Macbain.

In previous roles, Macbain served as the Director of Executive Policy at the Washington State Department of Corrections for five years and as a Senior Fiscal analyst at the House Office of Program Research for seven years.

Beginning his career as a Fiscal and Policy Analyst at the California State Legislature, Macbain will bring legislative deft to the Caucus.

Dominique Meyers will be Macbain’s Deputy Chief of Staff. Meyers previously worked as a Business and Financial Services policy staffer for the Caucus.
