Annual Olympia conference pushing city priorities

The Association of Washington Cities is hosting their annual City Action Days conference on Wednesday and Thursday.

About 370 city officials are scheduled to meet with state legislators in Olympia to bring attention to city’s priorities.

“We are here to help legislators and the governor recognize that our state’s success depends on the success of cities and towns,” said AWC President Jim Restucci, Mayor of Sunnyside.

The conference is set to focus on public records, homelessness, local infrastructure, local authority and city-state partnership.

Gov. Jay Inslee is the keynote and is scheduled to address attendees during lunch.

The conference is reserved for AWC members.
