We Had a Ball!

130116 ball 16 dancingIt was the event of the season, and of course we had a ball. Some 3,000 Washington residents and honored guests attended the Inaugural Ball at the Capitol Wednesday night — and whatever can be said about it, we’ve already said. But the big thing to remember is that the once-every-four-years event, really the event-of-the-political-season, is thrown by the citizens of Thurston county to honor the lawmakers, the statewide elected officials and the governor on the night of the inauguration. All our friends were there. So was anyone who was anyone. Rumor had it that the governor was there, but we didn’t see him. We got a lot of pictures, though.
