Air Traffic Control For Press Conferences
Thursday and Friday was a time for electeds and special interests to whine about the lack of coordination of press conferences. What? Yep, there they were whining about the overload of
conferences. You know the meetings where someone let’s someone else know they are going to
publicly talk about something with every lack of objectivity they can muster?
Thursday was a candy store for newies. Problem was all this pointed messaging took place at the same time. The “no more plastic bags” guys were talking all about the good reasons we ought to all buy our groceries then, pay a dollar for one of the 10cent cloth bags made in China, so we can avoid using plastic which increases our reliance on foreign oil and puts even more demand on the strait of Hormuz. I wish more people could have heard how helpful this bill is for the seventh fleet. What?
But folks couldn’t or didn’t hear all the international impact from the “no more choice, paper of plastic” bill because they were either at the healthcare press conference or the education reform press conference. (we need a new name, 2/3’s of the reporters at any one of these represented digital media, not much “pressing” of ink to paper anymore…)
So we here at Washington State Wire, standing for all things truthful and good will, as a public service, volunteer to provide a centralized scheduling of press conferences. If you will simply email me with your plans. We will review the subject matter, determine if it advances true Washington State Values, you know the same stuff the guv talks about when she says, “…the values of this state…”, and then we will schedule and post here, the dates and times and places of the information ejaculations. We of course reserve the right to not schedule stupid or “non-Washington State Value” ideas.
The service starts today. No charge. Maybe we can stop the whining.
Your support matters.
