Congressman Jay Inslee’s decision to resign for the sake of his gubernatorial campaign is giving state elections officials an Excedrin headache. Despite the best-laid plans of Inslee’s team, there’s talk of a special election to fill the final month of Inslee’s term, between the November election and the start of the next Congress in January. That’s because the old district boundaries apply until January. Could mean two elections for the same seat, on the same November ballot.
