Pigs Are Flying, There’s Ice In Hell, “Never” Really Does Not Exist!
My good and longtime friend, Joel Connelly questions the amount and appropriation of King County’s growing car tab fee increase. In his post the headline uses the terms “too high” in the same line as the term “Car Tab Fee” (increase). What? Has Seattle met a tax they don’t like? Hold the presses, write down the date.
Joel and I met in the mid 1970’s, we were both in our teens. OK, mid-twenties. No better standard bearer has a left, social, environmental
issue than Joel. So it was with a double-take I read this morning that he maturely examines the propriety and amount of King County’s new car tab assault.
The only thing left aside from the post is why tax cars to fund buses? (less than a third goes to roads, and it looks like just pot hole filling) Oh, I guess in a state that taxes tobacco for clean water programs my question is mute.
