Want to meet your fellow readers? Hear interesting takes on the November election and well-informed policy discussions about the upcoming 2023 session of the Legislature? Sip a cocktail while watching politicians do a little verbal sparring? Help us raise money to beef up our coverage? Then you should come to the Re-Wire Conference on Dec. 5 in Tacoma.
With the Washington State Wire under new ownership, we’re changing the format and location of the event. We surveyed our readers, who preferred a half-day event ending in a happy hour.
We’ll gather at the Hotel Murano in downtown Tacoma, which is easily accessible by car and the first modern light rail segment in Washington State.
The agenda will feature a keynote address by Lt. Gov. Denny Heck, panel discussions looking back at the election and forward to the 2023 Legislature, and a forum of legislative leaders. The conference will run between 1:00 – 6:30 pm with ample time for mingling in between sessions.
