Early results for local elections

Here is a quick run down of some the results of local elections we have been tracking since the primaries. These numbers represent the earliest vote counts, and they will continue to shift and change in the coming days. Election results will be officially certified on November 28.

Of particular interest is the number of women we see in these races. Of these 22 races, exactly half of the candidates are women. Of the 12 races where a female candidate is running against a male candidate, women are leading in 8 of them.
