The Everett Daily Herald announces staff cuts, changes in the publication

The Everett Daily Herald formally announced layoffs and content reductions in the paper in a letter from the editor on the front page of the March 1 edition.

Ten staff members, including four employees from the newsroom, were laid off over the course of the past week, Neal Pattison, executive editor of the daily, told the Washington State Wire.

In the editor’s letter, Pattison announced the paper will also cut some of its syndicated content so as not to make further cuts in local reporting. You can read the full letter, a screen capture from the March 1 edition, below:
