Washington State Wire is a website devoted to matters of politics and policy. WSW doesn’t slant the news or dumb it down, nor does it use the seat-of-the-pants opinion-blog format that is found in a thousand other places on the Web. The in depth and authoritative nature of our content provides a policy paper like value to each article.

Our chief audience is statehouse influencers and the communities they represent. WSW has been cited on the House and Senate floor. It uses the tools of good journalism to dig up new facts that have stood the statehouse on end. Its stories are routinely picked up by media outlets like the Seattle Times and KIRO radio, among others.

The Wire consistently draws unique visitors of 15,000 each month, and over 20,000 during the Legislative Session. The conversation continues on Facebook and Twitter where the Wire has an active community of over 1,000 followers.

In 2013 the Wire will welcome additional editorial and reporting voices to expand its coverage offerings. The Wire web platform is designed to push content and drive readership. It is an online news platform that reflects the needs and interests of the state’s “true center.”
